Well i've been incredibly sick for the past couple of months. I can't seem to keep water down most of the time. My dr. gave me a prescription for an antiemetic but all it did was trigger migraines. Well i went to go see him last week and he found high levels of ketones in my urine and was very concerned about how dehydrated i've gotten. He gave me until Tuesday the 17th to take in as much fluid as i can and when i go back to see him that day if i'm still dehydrated he's going to admit me to the hospital for IV fluids. I had previosly escaped the hospital by having my husband start an IV on me at home. The Doc told me to stop taking my prenatals for a few weeks. since then i have still been sick but not as much, So i have my fingers crossed. Allthough right now a few days off of work getting some rest dosn't sound all that bad............

Apr. 11, 2007 at 4:35 PM I had the same problems and i ended up being admitted when I was 6mos along b/c I got a kidney infection from it. I had solid morning sickness from day one its seemed like.... and really it was "all-day sickness." I don't know if this will help you but one of the only thing that helped me was fresh lemons.... putting it in my water. Also, I ended up drinking a lot of lime-aid and apple juice. Also, If you can stand lactose, slim fast works too, just drink it as a snack.... you will get fluid that way... and it helped me drink water too. although, my last trimester i became lactose-intolerant, so yea. Good luck!

Apr. 11, 2007 at 4:47 PM My friend had the same thing but got relief from an antihistamine the dr prescribed (starts with a Z but I can't think of the name right now) oh oh zertec?  Anyways its an idea to run past your dr.  Have you tried all old wives tales like licorice, peppermint, motion sickness bands?  Just a few things I have been told.  good luck.
