Hi Girlies!

I hope you have all had a Wonderful Summer filled with awesome memories! It has been a non-stop year for our family. Lots of exciting times and lots & lots of Stress! Things are getting very exciting in our home! As most of you know that Danny Retired from the Navy on April 30th (I still haven‘t written a post all about it yet). We moved from VA Beach to Fort Worth, Texas. Danny almost instantly picked up a great job as the Quality Manager for an Aircraft Wiring Company. But he has always had his heart set on working for either the FAA, BELL Helicopter (Textron) or Lockheed Martin. But with the economy the way it is right now, everywhere had a “Hiring Freeze”.

In the past few months he was very lucky to have an Interview with Bell and Lockheed. Danny received job offers from BELL and the FAA. He chose Bell Helicopter. BELL had 4+ people doing all kinds of paperwork to temporarily lift their hiring freeze so they could have Danny join the Team!! I couldn’t be happier for Danny. He is such a hard worker that goes Above & Beyond for the people he works for and with. He deserves this opportunity to shine again! He is such a nice guy that within days of getting his offer he was making phone calls and forwarding the Resumes of 4 Coworkers that just received the news that they had lost their jobs. He is always thinking of other people. Well enough of my “Proud Wife” babble!

Now it’s time to Complain about him! We went Clothes and Shoe shopping for him last week. Oh my gosh….He has to be one of the slowest and pickiest shoppers ever! It took him 2 hours just to pick out 2 pairs of shoes! Then he ended up buying a belt just like the one he already owns! Oh well…I guess I should give him a little break. For the past 20 years he has put on the same Navy uniform every single day! We both have no idea what we should be wearing at our age! Remember he still has those 80’s Muscle Pants and I still wear some of my old Maternity tops! We need some serious fashion help!

Monday was his first day at BELL. He had a fresh Hair Cut, new clothes and those “2 hour shoes”! His new job is Quality Assurance Engineering Specialist….Whew, that’s a mouthful huh? He gets his own Laptop, Cell Phone, 401K, Vacation time and another Retirement Pension! I’m really happy about the Computer. No more sharing this one! There will be a little travel but they fly him and they pay for everything! I will keep you all updated on how he likes it. But so far HE LOVES IT!!

More Good News… Our Travel Claim will be finally done this week and we will be getting 100% replacement. They packed everything so badly. Like Lampshades with a T.V. and a DVD player!!…And a Baskets with a Cinder Block!!

Even More Good News

… I received an email from CafeMom a few weeks ago. I was picked as an Influencer to try out the new Caring Corners…Mrs. Goodbee’s Talking Dollhouse by Learning Curve! This was such a nice surprise! I (we) are very fluent in “Dollhouse”. We have owned a wide variety of them. Disney Castle, Loving Family, Glitter Suite… All of which did their time and kindly bit the dust after being “loved” a little too much! I am pretty good at picking what will last and what is worth the money when it comes to toys (& kids clothes). I have rarely paid full price for anything, especially toys. My favorite kinds of toys are the ones that can bring ALL of my Kiddos together! And this is “One Of Those” toys!

Even though this adorable Dollhouse is targeted towards the 3 and Up age group, I could see all of my Crew enjoying it and I was right. In my home there is never a “Girl” or “Boy” toy or a “Baby” or “Big Kid” toy. My boys play Dress-Up and Barbies. My Girls play Cars and Cowboys. Anything goes! I just love to watch them when they all are playing together. It’s like a mini version of the “Old teaching the Young”. Even if it’s only for a few hours or days, those moments are priceless.

We had the Kiddos come in and sit down for a Surprise! Oh my…did they go nuts over it! All 6 of them! We gave it to them 2 hours before bedtime and boy was that not such a good idea! They played and played! Each seemed to be drawn to and enjoy different areas. Austin loves the Kitchen with the oven that opens and changes “yummy dishes”, Eden loves the Baby Cradle, Devin loves the Attic and loves to put the Dog up there, Sophia just loves the Flushing Potty!! Even though she will not flush a real one and Olivia loved the front door with the light up lips!

After having to peel them away from this fun house so they (me really) could go to bed. We folded up Mrs. Goodbee so she could get some rest to. Very very early in the morning I was woken up by strange noises coming from our front room. It sounded like someone was breaking into our house. So I ran in there totally unprepared with my night clothes and bed head. What did I find?? Not 1, but to 2 Perpetrators were breaking into the house!!! There was Miss Eden and her Sidekick Sophia standing over Mrs. Goodbee trying to pry her open! I say, “What in the world are you doing girls?” They turn and say with there still half asleep faces, “We want to play with The House!”. I couldn’t help but laugh and comply of course. Then they came Two By Two! Next came Devin & Austin wanting their turn and then Hailey & Olivia my late sleepers. The new did not wear off and still hasn’t.

Here's The "Perps" the next morning!

Flatsy Patsy and her Little Sis! (Paperdolls)

We don’t waste too much in our house. So we even cut out the pictures of the dolls from the accessory package and made our own Paper Dolls! This has to be one of, if not the best dollhouse around. The sounds are not at all annoying like some toys can be. The colors are beautiful to! The only cons I have are I wish there was a low-high volume and the 3 wide floors might be a bit breakable if you have a very active child. One funny thing is the Daddy Doll we received has 2 Right Feet! He fits right in at our house! The girls can never find both of a pair of shoes, so they will wear one of theirs and one of their sisters!

Believe it or not, one of my twin boys were the first to ask if he could maybe receive the Mommy doll set for Christmas! Santa are you listening??

This Dollhouse has some very Special Activities like no other dollhouse we’ve owned. 400+ songs, words and sounds! It interacts with them and there is even more activities you can do online! One very special program is the Carton of Caring Donation Program with Goodwill. We have always been big on donating. But with this great program the kiddos are more involved with it. They can get excited to fill up that box with toys they loved so much. Knowing that other children will give them even more love. So I would say if you have a child aged 3-10 you might take a peek at this adorable Dollhouse for Christmas or a Birthday.

Thanks for letting me share. Hugs, Tiera

My hubby is the same with wearing till the clothes or shoes wear out for years and when the time comes to buy a new pair of shoes...My hubby buys exactly the same shoes he had! It was funny lol.

It was great seeing your kids play together regardless of what toy they are. Great pics! CM is awesome in give-aways!
