Says "Your a barve woman" because my friend and I take our 5 girls all together out in pubilc I might just scream and haul off and hit them! We don't need your pitty or for you to feel sorry for us! WE CHOOSE TO HAVE ALL OF OUR KIDS WHEN WE DID AND WE BOTH WANT MORE!!! I just don't understand why people bother saying anything at all and would perfer for them to just keep their mouth shut if they don't have anyting nice to say!

i understand that you don't want their pity but in my experience people don't always mean it as that. I call my husband a brave man because he will do things with all 3 of our children that I would rather die than even attempt... like doing major grocery shopping with them in tow. And I'm certainly not pitying him, I'm admiring what he does.
I agree with the previous comment... if it really bothers you just say something along the lines she suggested.
I get it all the time too...Oh are all these boys yours? Or trying for a girl. UGH!
I have 4 kids all by myself most of the time and I call my ownself brave : D lol
Hi Paula! I understand what you mean completely, though I don't have 5 kids, I ahve one and one on the way. Your children are your life and if you want to take all of them out and about why shouldn't you? People should mind their own business and consider it a girls day out:-) I am moving to the Owens Cross Rds area this june with my husband and our 2 boys. Nervous it is, not knowing many people, just the in laws:-)
As far as the comment about saying "blessed" with a smile, in Northern Michigan, straight forward, right to the point and no BS usually gets it done:-)

Brave is a compliment! (Or at least you can choose to take it as one.) :-D
But if it really bothers you, why not simply respond with a smile and say "Not brave, BLESSED." :-D
(I have four sons, two years apart each (more or less), and I get told I am "brave" all the time, too. It's all good, Mama!)
