Everyday when I get home from work, my 7 y/o and 12 y/o are sitting on the couch (after homework is completed) watching SpongeBob. That voice, That laugh!!!! OMG!!!! It can peel paint off the walls. But, the kids enjoy it, so I tolerate it for awhile...

now you guys sound like squidward. lol
i dont have sateilite or cable either but my 4 year old requested we buy the 1st season and now she wants to watch it everyday when she gets up from her nap. spongebob rocks!
My 3 yr old LOVES spongebob! I CAN'T stand him! She has even learned to do his laugh!!! AHHHHH. When my dad watched her last yr he would program the TV so spongebob was on ALL DAY LONG and the entire time I was at work she watched that stupid sponge! She RARELY gets to watch it now, was teaching her bad manners and such. She started backtalking after the episode where Gary was refusing a bath and called people barnaclehead and other such names that they use.
I make my DD watch another TV. My SO made me watch because I made a rude comment. Then he realized how annoying it was and pointless he made DD go upstairs to watch it.
I have to give you credit if you can tolerate it. SpongeBob has been banned from our home since it came on years ago - by the kids themselves (TG bc I can't stand it either). Oddly enough, all of our kids and foster kids tend to share the same thought - it's the most annoying show on the market and ranks with Barney and Teletubbies.
