DH is gonna kill me!!!

Yep its one of those days im dreading DH coming home. I have been razy busy ALL day and he called like 5 times on his lunch and im usually here to answer. I can already see the look on his face when he walks through the door and says "where were you when i tryed to call" I'll explain AND THEN have to break the news to him....

This morning I was gettin the kids ready to go to school and out the door. Our dog Roman (he's a beautiful boxer) was laying in his kennel on the landing in the garage. I told my boys to go get in the car. Well the landing the dog stays on is seperated from the garage by this fence. Its all part of the garage but its just gated off. Its the perfect place to put him when he is being aggrvating or does something wrong. Anyways, my oldest son started fiddeling with his kennel and asked me if he should open the door to his kennel and I said "NO, leave him alone" and he opened it anyways. He misunderstood me and thought I said something else. So I opened the gate to let the kids into the grage area thinking to myself "dont forget to lock the gate". Well I had my 3 kids to get in the car and one of my daycare kids comes early and by the time i got in my car, opened the garage, and pulled out it was too late. I pulled out and saw something black dart across my rear view mirror and immediatly I knew the dog got out. Well I couldnt stop to get him because my kids were already going to be late so I figured id come back and he'd be around the orner where he always is when he gets loose. I came home (i was only gone for 8 minutes max) and he was gone! Nowhere in sight. i drove, and walked around the neighborhood. He is nowhere to be found. I havent told DH yet but he is going to be VERY upset. He loves that dog even though IMO he's an idiot (the dog not my DH lol). My DH wanted to breed him really badly. He was an idiot but he was an absolutely beautiful dog! So someone please SHOOT ME NOW, cuz when DH gets home im in a world of trouble. So pray for me ladies that either the dog magically re-appears, or that my DH remembers we dont have a gun and has mercy on my soul!

call your local dog animal control officer......usually open during the day.....in our town dogs running loose are captured and taken to 'doggie jail' where we have found many of our dogs in many of the years we have lived here.

I agree with the above.  But on the DH, I hope you loves you more than the dog.  My husband would be devastated about the dog, but certainly wouldn't blame me.  A 'real man' will forgive you and get busy helping to find the dog.  Best of luck...(been there, done that).

Oh no!!! Def call the animal control. Im sure he will get picked up sometime during the day. Hopefuly DH will understand that you were busy and I hope by now you have heard something!
