Ok i am just going to vent my feelings and let me say up front i am a Mccain supporter so anyone who is going to get offended that i don't support obama can stop reading now!

I don't know how many of you watched the debate last night but i did and to tell you the truth i am just ready for it to all be over no matter who wins although i pray mccain does. okay let me tell you first why i support mccain before i vent on Obama( i don't care if i am spelling his name right) anyway i am a army veteran and although i do not agree with all of McCain views i do feel like he really cares about this country and he will do what he thinks is best for it. He was a POW and knows how the military works and what it is like to serve and be the father or 2 sons who serve so he has a vested interest in their safety and the country's safety and to me NO agenda is more important than that if our president cant keep our country safe from terrorists then no other agenda matters cause none of us will be here.

What he did while he served over seas and was a POW tells me has honor and integrity which is a lot more than you can say for Obama I'm sorry but i don't see how anyone can support him when he has the associations that he does acorn being the worst of all. if you want your vote to mean anything how can you support a man who has not only been a lawyer for acorn but donated 800thousand dollars to them im sorry but that is unforgivable to ba associated with an association that cares nothing for a true and fair election and would rather steal votes to get their man in office. I think every ballot that acorn has put in should be thrown out. Now i am going to bring up the Rev Jeremiah Wright if you can sit under someone for 20 years and say that what they preached every Sunday didn't affect you you are a liar!!!!  I am all for freedom of speech but the ones who use it need to remember why they have that freedom of speech blood was shed for that freedom and  if you don't like this country you can leave!!!! otherwise go sit in your several hundred thousand dollar house that you probably couldn't have in many other parts of the world and shut up!!!!

Ok so im sorry if i have offended anyone but i warned you ahead of time.  Feel free to reply with any comments.

I am a veteran as well. McCain has voted against every bill that helps out vets. Do some research. Obama is very veteran-friendly.

While I respect your beliefs and your ability to communicate them, I disagree.  Being a POW does not mean that one has integerity by default. It simply means that you were captured and made a prisoner.  I am not saying McCain is not a good man, just that the two are not necessarily connected.

Furthermore, I believe that honesty is a large part of integrity and IMO McCain is not honest.  Throughout the debates, he has told half truths and lies that have been exposed time and time again.  Both he and his running mate seem to have a hard time answering the issues presented to them (though more his running mate than he).

I am not in the military, but I am the daughter of a Marine and the sister of a soldier.  My best friend is an AF wife.  Were we voting for a military commander (and I know that the Pres is the commander in chief) and not  a diplomatic leader, I would vote for McCain.  But for the person to lead and direct this country, we need someone diplomatic, respectful, intellegent, eloquent and commanding.  To me, Obama embodies all of those characteristics. He also has plans that will help Americans, help our economy and help us reclaim our standing in the world as a superpower.

McCain stated that Rev John Hagee supports what he stands for and what he believes in, and that he was proud of Hagee's leadership  If that is so, he believes that the Catholic church is a whore.  I say this not to question his beliefs but to illustrate the fact that a political candidate is not liable for every word that comes out of another's mouth.

Great post!  It is a good starting point for conversation.

I LOVE when people toss out how McCain voted against Vets, or children, or women... etc...  McCain has made it clear that he does NOT vote for pork!  Check out these votes and see if they are "pork free" before you start saying he doesn't care about the military, or children, or the environment.

As for some of the military votes.... Democrats tried to make a exit date (or put a timetable) on military votes.  He wasn't voting against the military, just against sneaky Dems trying to pull crap.
