When CafeMom asked me to be a part of their Yoplait Save Lids to Save Lives campaign, I was so excited. I had an idea. What if I could get one of the smaller grocery stores to put up collection containers in their stores? So after failed attempts to contact three different chains (Fresh&Easy, Smiths & Food4Less) I decided, maybe I need to scale this down a bit. So I went for a run (my favorite brainstorming activity) and that run took me right by my weekly Weight Watcher's location. AHA! Brilliant idea, why didn't I think of that before? One of the Yoplait Yogurts with a pink lid is about 2 Weight Watcher's points. So I talked with my Weight Watchers leader and we challenged my weekly group (and all of his other groups) to bring in lids every week until the end of the year. So far, I'm up to 100 lids! WOO HOO! Thank you so much to Bob for going along with my challenge and to all my fellow Weight Watchers for their support. Can't wait to see the total in December!
Comments:
FINALLY a mom in my area doing it. I have 19 lids, and did not know who to give them to. How can I give you mine? I don't eat it everyday, but when we get it I save them.
That is awsome Nicole!!! Andrew eats yogart everyday. If they have pink lids I will save them for you!
