Okay...Here's your TMI alert. If you really don't want to know this, or you have a weak stomach, stop reading now.

Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). ERCP is used to locate and remove stones in the bile ducts. After lightly sedating you, the doctor inserts an endoscope—a long, flexible, lighted tube with a camera—down the throat and through the stomach and into the small intestine. The endoscope is connected to a computer and video monitor. The doctor guides the endoscope and injects a special dye that helps the bile ducts appear better on the monitor. The endoscope helps the doctor locate the affected bile duct and the gallstone. The stone is captured in a tiny basket and removed with the endoscope. (http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases/pubs/gallstones/)

Can you guess why I'm sharing this with you? Removing my gallbladder did not bring an end to the story. It seems that some of those troublesome little stones are stuck in my bile duct, and still causing problems, including pain, nausea, and liver issues. Fun stuff. So today I get to go meet a new doctor and have this fabulous procedure done. At least it has an impressive name.

But, on the positive side, Dr. Channer made my life a little easier yesterday by prescribing an anti-nausea medicine. That alone has made me feel so much better! I was able to sleep last night, even if my littlest man came in at 1 am to sleep with me. He's been "taking care" of me to the best of his ability, and at 1 am he came out to the living room to check on me. He said Kristi woke him up, but since she was sound asleep, I think he just woke up worried about me. So he spent the rest of the night on the opposite end of the couch with me. He's a sweet boy.

I'm sorry that you get another post without pictures. I just can't take any right now. I also understand that it's tradition for bloggers to post "100 things about me" for their 100th blog, and I've been working on that, but instead of the 100 things post, you get this update. So I guess the 100 things will come at 101, or 102, or maybe 103.

Thanks for checking in. I'll keep you updated!

You poor thing! I had my gallbladder removed when I was 19, and went through many of the same things you are. I know how awful it is.

I'm praying that you are doing better. Let everyone else take care of you for as long as you can!!!
