I just got back from a much needed vacation in NY. My husband and I went for a friend's wedding and I decided to do some of the things that I never got to when I lived there. Here are some of the dreams I fulfilled during my trip:
- Walked the boardwalk on Coney Island and ate a Nathan's hotdog and munched on funnel cakes
- Went to the NY Aquarium
- Explored the exhibits at The Museum of Natural History (I've been there before, but it was 20 years ago, and its one of my favorite places!)
- Saw a parade on 5th Avenue
- Went to FAO Schwartz and got to see the $250,000 floor keyboard that was in the movie Big with Tom Hanks
- Explored the Central Park Zoo
- Viewed the John Lennon Memorial, Strawberry Fields, and the Dakota where John Lennon was shot
- Ate NY pizza
- Went to my home town, showed my husband the house I grew up in, crashed a party at my neighbors, and saw some old friends from elementary school
- Took a romantic horse and carriage ride through Central Park with my husband
We crammed a lot in, but sometimes you just need to get away to view things from a new perspective.
