Well, I'm just gonna update on a few appts.

Kyndra had her 9 month check-up on Oct 8 and it went well. She was 18lbs 11oz and 26 1/2 in long. She was 50% for weight and 25% for height. Dr. Ziemnik wasn't too worried about the height since I had measured her at home at 27 in. She said it could just be from different people measuring and a wiggly baby so no big deal. Her head circumference was 44cm. She got her flu shot, which only resulted in a lil cry til she was in my arms and then she was fine. She'll get a flu booster in 30 days.

On Monday, Oct 13, I noticed Kyndra's right big toe was a lil swollen and red so I kept an eye on it. It was weird because it was lineated. I inspected it for scratches and bite marks but I didn't see any. When I squeezed it it didn't hurt her either. So I called on Tuesday and took her into the dr. Dr. Ziemnik was out of the office so we saw Dr. Dooley. Dr. Dooley checked for an ingrown toenail but there wasn't one. She thought it was infected so she prescribed an antibiotic. I'm not too keen on giving Kyndra antibiotics but if the toe is truly infected I don't want it to get worse. She's been on it for a couple days now and I think it's gotten a lil better. Hasn't gotten worse.

Today I had my 3rd OB appt. I am 13 weeks along. My weight was 106, BP 90/60, and pulse 80. Everything is looking good! I declined the cystic fibrosis screening and the nuchal translucency US. I asked about getting my flu shot 1st week in Nov and I am good to go! She said as long as I'm not in the 1st trimester it is fine. By next appt I need to decide if I am going to do the Quad screening, which is for spina bifida, Down's syndrome, and trisomy 18. My baby's heart rate was good-it was 156. She also measured my uterus but there's not a whole lot to measure right now!

Now some updates:

Kyndra is crawling really well now. She's so fast when she really wants to go after something! She pulls herself to standing and can cruise along the furniture now. She has 2 teeth on the bottom and 4 cutting in on the top. Today was so wonderful b/c she clearly said "mama" for the first time! I went to pick her up from the sitter's and she saw me come in the door and crawled over to the baby gate and when I was lifting her up she said mama! I was so surprised and happy!!! Kyndra still doesn't hold her own bottle and I don't think she ever will, seriously. No problem though. She just likes to have her hands free to mess w/ stuff. She's getting better at the sippy cup but I have to hold it for her. She also just successfully took off her bib-twice! Uh oh, hope the diapers aren't next! She can clap her hands and also wave bye-bye too!

Work is going well for me. It's been kinda slow but no complaints there! I've kept my radiation exposure down pretty well but of course I'm not doing as many patients since I found out I about being preggo. Anthony really likes his work. He's gonna get a "junker" car this weekend so I can start driving the van to work to save on gas. It'll be so much easier for me to get Kyndra in the van than in the truck. Plus, I don't think I'd be able to get in the back of the truck w/ a big ol' belly!

My pregnancy is going well. I've been feeling great and my appetite is coming back so hopefully I'll quit losing weight. My belly is popping out faster this time around and I'm getting more symptoms earlier! No worries! I'm just hoping no problems w/ this pregnancy like the last time. This baby better behave. Anthony and I are currently deciding on names too.
