I am VERY proud of my oldest son Ley. He is 9 and his aunt Donna asked him if he wanted to walk with her this year for Breast Cancer. He said yes. I am very proud of him. He knows he will wear a pink shirt and he does not mind:)
He didn't understand what cancer was when my dad died in April. When I started the Save Lids Save Lived he got excited to do it and help out. Now when we go to the store he points everything out that has the Susan G. Komen for the Cure stuff on it! He knows that if they cure one kind of cancer they can cure all. He said he wants to help everyone out his exact words. I wish I could do the walk but due to nerve damage to my feet from being diabetic I can't.
My Sister in law works at Wal-Mart now for gosh over 10 years and her team with them have raised - Wal-Mart ($15,944.84)
To find a event in your area - The American Cancer Society: Find an Event 2008 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer - Atlanta, GA October 25, 2008 Atlantic Station Registration: 8 a.m. Walk: 9 a.m.
Together we've raised $335,025.18 and there are still 7 days to go!

This is great-- Ley: this is such a grown up thing to do! I am so proud of you-to help out others is one of the best things ever. You will feel great about yourself after you do this!! Shell--you hug that boy for me. My grandma had breast cancer, and only survived it after a double mastectomy...she did pass away tho, from lung cancer. :( Every little bit helps when it comes to the cure-because cancer does NOT discriminate. Breast cancer even (tho rarely) happens in men!
