Have you ever wondered when buying bread in the grocery store which is the freshest?  Do you squeeze the loaves of bread to determine which is the freshness or softness?

Did you know that bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday? Each day has a different color twist tie.

They are:

Monday = Blue

Tuesday = Green

Thursday = Red

Friday = White

Saturday = Yellow

Example:  If today is Thursday, you would want a red twist tie; not white which is Fridays and the bread would be almost a week old! The colors go alphabetically by color Blue (Monday) - Green (Tuesday) - Red (Thursday) - White (Friday) - Yellow (Saturday). Even the ones with the plastic clips have different colors. Enjoy fresh bread when you buy bread with the right color on the day you are shopping.

oh yeah I had heard that before but I forgot.  Thanks for the reminder, I will definitely keep that in mind the next time I got to the grocery store

Now, if only I can remember all the colors tags with the day and not get them mixed up.  Tongue3

I will have to put it in my Palm in order to remember. It wouldn't do any good in my little half-a-horse town because the only two grocery stores here get bread on Tuesdays only.
