So we heard back from the GI today and he is concerned about her recent bradycardia and apnea episodes where she was visibly choking on reflux. Basically he said that this is proving that her refluz is ausing these reactions, which would justify thinking about getting the nissen fundoplication surgery. Rather than jump to surgery though, he is having us get an NJ feeding tube (this goes through her mouth or nose, passes her stomach, and drips directly into her small intestine). This is supposed to help her by giving her a chance to safely outgrow her reflux since she is only 5 months old, 3 adjusted. She is also starting to develop a major oral aversion.

Tristan has a G-tube. We DID NOT have the Fundo though as we decided it wasn't going to be worth it in the long run as we have friends that there son had the FUNDO and he has horrible stomach problems and you can't ever throw up or burp with that either, just not normal to me...and I think ACID REFLUX can be outgrown, I mean, I'm sure they didn't do FUNDO'S 100's of years ago right, but every parent and child is different so you have make the right decision for your family. Just look into it real good.
