Amish way of life

Every year we go to Lancaster to see Thomas the train. When we are there we see Amish people and get a peek at their way of life. When I see these people with their families it really gets to me. It makes me feel so calm, peaceful, and loving. I know that sounds retarded but it's true! These people inspire me to really think about life and what is important! Of course in this society we need money to survive, to eat to pay for gas, food, etc. but when is enough?! Why do we need all these extra things? What are we trying to do with these extra things? It seems hypocritical because I am on a laptop as we speek, but that is why I'm writing this. I wish I could throw my computer away and live a more simple life! A life filled with enjoying loved ones and each other's company instead of trying to enjoy your co-worker and commute and being stressed out. I like their sense of community. It must be nice to have a baby and have all your family be around to enjoy. Everyone helps everyone! You are never alone, lonely, or without. I personally would like to incorporate this way of living into a modern society. It's impossible though. I wish everyone would come to realize that being together and njoying life together is more important than working 9-5. I swear I must have been amish in a past life and if we ever have the means, we WILL move out to bumble fuck on a farm. I am happy that my hubby is a family man to share these feelings with. I want to sit around the kitchen table passing the baby, making pies with mothers, grandmothers, etc. talking really talking! Call me crazy, i'm just uper old-fashioned and love traditions, family, and culture but unfortunately only share that with my hub.
