I have a personal goal today.... to fix myself up like... like I used to everyday. This thought came to me when my better half said to me, "You never get dressed anymore"... Well to the contrary... I am dressed everyday..pj bottoms and a tee shirt... bra is optional...and sometimes I am dressed so well I wear the exact same clothes two days in a row! I feel like telling him the obvious...." Why my dear? " I dont go anywhere... I dont see anyone...and if I get baby food on me.. its no big deal... I have lots of his old T-shirts to wear..
Then I thought... this is selfish... he deserves a day here or there to not cringe if he should brush against my hairy legs..
So... Gage will go into his highchair... loaded with toys.. I will play peek-a-boo through the shower door every two seconds... while singing the abc's.. the usual... Then the make-up and hair will be an ongoing process that will last hours... put on foundation;get baby put on blush; feed baby put mascara on ONE eye.. save baby's life when he try's pulling the lamp down ontop of himself.. oh ya.. today will be FUN..
Yup... and they never know what it takes to do this.. and I probably wont get any response for my achievement... yet putting the effort in means you care more anyway... RIGHT!! Ha Ha..

i know how you feel about the shower. It gets harder to take one during the mornign or afternoon. Then you try harder on the weekends when you have time to shower they don't say a word when you do look nice.
I get so tired of not getting the respect from the men.
LMAO!!! I usually don't get in the shower till like 11 when ayden takes his nap, but it takes me all day to get ready....Then its time to go to bed!![]()
when my husband see's me dressed he says finally you you got dressed instead of being in your pj's. lol! I don' get dressed up either not even sometime if I go to the mall if any time. So good luck to you and hope your little one does not get a hissy fit while you are trying to da this lol!
That's cute. I make sure I shower before my DH leaves for work. For whatever reason, I don't get anything done unless I have showered and put on some half way decent looking clothes. One time I had to pick up my older one from school bc she was sick. I was in my PJ's and the little one was a complete mess. I told the nurse, I'm coming but it will take awhile. I think they thought, "what the heck does she have to do, she's home?" Don't they know how long it takes to get dressed?
I was so use to throwing my coat over any shirt to get my daughter on and off the bus. One time I met a newer friend at the library. I took off my coat and had on a white tshirt with dress pants. I forgot to change my top!!! I was so embarrased!! This mommy was a lawyer too.
