I know it must be hard, andhe would be proud that you are spreading out so much awareness for all this. Happy Birthday to him!
Readers: please find out about the symptoms of this not so talked about cancer! It has struck my family twice, both with terminal results.
To shell- I'm so so sorry. Happy birthday to your dad.
we2angels Thank you that is very true. Doctors don't look for it cause they just think you get sick a lot. That is I think the main symptom, you just keep getting sick a lot. Looking back my dad was getting colds, flu, etc a lot. They should have fount this faster than what they did.
My dad passed one year ago on October first of lymphoma. He was diagnosed in early August of 20007, and passed 41 days after "saying goodbye" to us. Actually, the treatments aggrivated his heart problem and he had a massive heart attack. His birthday is Sunday, the 26th (in two days) He would be 51. I know it's rough, not having him around anymore, I imagine if you are anything like me, it still seems unreal. I've tried to make a point to celebrate his life, instead of mourning him so much. We are making him a birthday cake Sunday. I'm glad to see that you are celebrating your father's life, and that you are spreading awareness. I'm sorry for your loss. Take care.
BIG (((((((HUGS)))))) Shell! I love you sweetie and I am so sorry you have to deal with this. Let me know if I can help in anyway.
Happy b'day to your dad. I just lost my mom to lymphoma and leukemia last month. I don't know how soon things get better, but I'm hoping it's easier for you now. We have to hold our memories close and honor them as you are, here. god bless.
