I met my boyfriend on the internet, well in a yahoo chat room for Michigan of all places. We talked only for 2 months before I asked him out. By the end of the second month of being together we planned on him coming to get me. This was the first time that we have met face to face since we started talking in Jan 07. He lived in the Upper Peninsula while I lived in the lower peninsula of Michigan. It took him 8 hours to come and get me. It was a heck of a ride. While we were there, we had talked and he met my grandparents, my dad and his girlfriend at the time and my uncle and of course my brother who was coming back up with us.

I didn't find out I was pregnant until mid august. We were talking to a mutual friend and I told her that I hadn't had my period since July. So told me to take a home pregnancy test. At the time we had taken a few but no luck until that night. And for the life of me I couldn't get enough pee to take the test. So we had to go to the ER to get the test done. Let me tell you that was an expensive pregnancy test there....I think it was over $600, just to find out I was pregnant.

I had morning sickness at night. I didn't have any weird cravings, but my boyfriend said I did. I had peanut butter and apple slices. My favorite food was pizza.

Well the night before my water broke; me and my boyfriend were fooling around (mutual materbaterbation).

We were enrolled in a class for giving birth and such. We had taken 2 of the 4 classes. An hour before the 3rd class started, my water broke.

The day of my water breaking, March 20, I took a shower (I usually take baths) and I had back pain so I got down on my knees and let the warm water fall on my back. After the shower I went back and layed down. I had woken up in a second and I thought I had to go pee. But when I stood up it had went everywhere. So I ran upstairs and went to the bathroom, 2 minutes later my dad and my boyfriend came home. My dad went in his room and started to come out of his room. I told my dad what happen and he told me to tell Dave, my boyfriend, that I had to go to the hospital. So I told my dad to stay in his room as I ran out of the bathroom naked from the butt down. I had to get a clean pair of underwear. Then I ran back to the bath room to put a pad on my panties. and a pair of sweats.

So went downstairs and told Dave. So I went to the ER. We went to the delivery room. They did the tests and my water broke. But I had preeclampsia and an entire 5 weeks early. The doctor said that if I was 4 weeks I could stay at the local hospital, but I was 5 weeks so they had to send me to Duluth, MN. I had minor labor pains though the night I didn't get much sleep at all. They had me on Magnesium sulfate. I hated that stuff because I couldn't get up and go to the bathroom by myself. I had one shot of Demerol to reduce the pain slightly.  At 6am they induced me with pitocin. 2 hours later Johnathan David Logan was here.

This is him 2 days old.

He was born 3-21-08 at 9:58 am. He weighed 5 pounds 15 ounces.

He had jaundice real bad. He was under the bili lights for 3 days. The day I was released they told me that I had to leave Johnny there another day. I had a pass to stay at the motel joining but I wasn't expecting my dad to come along. So it was cheaper to go home, which was 108 miles away. They sent in a psychologist because I was "depressed". Come on...what mom wants to hear that they can go but their baby has to stay. I left 3-24-08.

On the way back to Duluth to get our son, I seen 3 animals on the side of the road. The first one being a doe, the second was a bald eagle and the last was a coyote. I believe that they meant something. So I did some research for Indian animal meanings. This is what I came up with

Deer- Compassion, peace, intellectual, gentle, caring, kind, subtlety, gracefulness, femininity, gentleness, innocence, and seller of adventure

Eagle- Divine spirit, sacrifice, connection to creator, intelligence, renewal, courage, illumination of spirit, healing, creation, freedom, and risk-taker

Coyote- Stealth, mischief, rickster, intelligent, clowning around, ability to recognize mistakes.

The day he was brought home.

Now he's a whole 17.4 pounds and 27.5 inches
