Natural Products Buying Club

My girlfriend in Grand Rapids and her family/friends started a group called the "good stuff buying club" earlier this year.  When I visited her in June, she showed everything she was doing.  They order from a catalog and get near-wholesale prices on all sorts of natural products.  Some of these are things you can find at the local natural food stores or in the organic sections of some of the grocery stores, but that are quite costly.

For example:  I purchase Hylands teething tablets frequently.  They cost around $6 in the area.  The wholesale was between $3-$4.  She orders her toothpastes and organic cheese sauce and all sorts of things.  She said a popular brand with their group is Seventh Generation.  There is no tax, no shipping (as long as they have an order of $250 combined), most of the items you do not have to order in bulk,  and everyone picks up at her home during certain hours and pays her the cash or check for the stuff.  She doesn't do this as a business, but as a service.  There are some things about no returns and she has a 10% processing fee.  This is to cover her fee she is charged to start the wholesale club and the time to enter, sort and collect all the orders.  You have to start with 6-8 members/families.  There are monthly sales flyers. 

I just ordered a catalog to start looking it over, but if there are enough people interested in saving some money on their natural products, I wouldn't mind organizing a group like this, unless one already exists that I can join.  Here is the site  https://wholesale.frontiercoop.com/

Her goup now has 15-20 members and they order every 4 weeks from Frontier and every 8 weeks from Country Life.
