I've been MIA for quite some time. It's been fast-paced and I am looking forward to the next holiday.
The kids have had trips, tons of homework, the baby (ha! He's going to be 20 months, I have to stop calling him a baby) is feeding himself with a fork and getting into EVERYTHING! By the time their bed time arrives, I want to crawl in bed with them and call it a day.
I know it won't be like this forever.
At work, it's been just a litany of To Do Lists, grading, thank goodness the first report card is behind us and now I have to keep churning out those lesson plans.
My husband's band has been out and about. They've been interviewed a couple of times on local and college radio (it was exciting to hear their music on the radio!!) and next month they will be featured on a cable-access show. In December, they will spend a week recording the remainder of their album with their producer. I'm extremely proud of him :)
And me, I've been busy getting all of the paperwork required to get my extension approved (for my teaching certification). I've been researching Graduate School programs and hopefully I will find the right one for me soon.
So now, I'm sitting in the middle of an apartment that seems to have exploded with STUFF. It's a mess, and I feel so overwhelmed, but I have to do it. If I can get the kitchen and living room done, at least we can move around in this part of our home! Between Parent/Teacher night and dinner at mom's this week, I feel like we haven't been home a lot.
Okay, time to get up and get moving. I gotta catch up!
Comments:
It seems that no matter how much laundry I wash and put away, how many dishes I wash, how much trash I throw away, the apartment is rarely in order.
nice to see someone else has a hectic life. i run from one thing to another day after day and i don't even work outside the home. life is crazy and busy busy busy. i think it is much more important to have fun with the kids and be happy than to have a tidy home. i have my kids trained....no one moves til they clean up after themselves and i am mean about it. my quote i say daily is "i am NOT your maid!!!"

oh please.....weekly would be a freaking dream...i'm lucky if it's monthly. our sure fire way to get cleaned up is to invite some people over who've never been here before --- the ultimate peer pressure, hahaaha!!!
hang in there...other than the band stuff and the 3rd baby, our lives sound identical.......the rush, the schoool, the lesson plans, parent teacher conferences wiped me out...etc!!!
