I took my daughter back to visit the teacher''s helper from her preK class she was in last year. Miss L. was so happy to see her and actually said that she could "see it in her eyes" that she is not the same as she was last year. I could tell too, but this teacher''s helper had never had experience with a child with Autism until my daughter. So her comments were genuine. She said my daughter seems to be engaged in everything around her now. In looking at her school pictures from last year, I could see it too. She seemed to have a blank look in her eyes. This year she has a lot of expression in her daily activities as well as in her pictures. I know some of you know the look I mean. I am so excited that someone without any experience noticed too. Thanks for letting me share.
