Okay, I really don't have time, but it seems I never do these days, so I am going to go ahead and start writing anyway!!
I was due to have baby James on October 12, 2008. BUT, NO BABY! =] I spent the day walking as much as possible, took about a 3hour trip around [and around] the mall, lol. ANYWAY, I was off of work on the 13th and 14th [Monday & Tuesday] and was planning to return to work on Wednesday. HOWEVER, things didn't work exactly that way! LOL.
On Monday, I had a doctor apt. Dr. Paoloni said that I was 1.5 cms dialated and 80% effaced. He said that if I didn't have Boss by the FOLLOWING Monday [October 20th] that we would schedule a day for me to get induced. I was hoping we wouldn't have to go that route! Well, later on in the night I noticed my mucus plug starting to come out. I felt fine otherwise, and went ahead to sleep as usual.
On the morning of Tuesday, October 14th, at approximatley 5a, I woke up with Jimmy as he was getting ready for work. I was definatley in pain, BUT I told him to go ahead to work anyway, AS I didn't realize I was in labor and didn't want him to miss work for nothing. I went to the bathroom and noticed a bit of blood, but my doctor said a small amount of blood was normal so I just figured I was having a rough morning. After a couple hours of being in pain, my mother talked me into letting her come and get me so I wouldn't be alone, she got to my apartment at about 8a. By then I had started timing my contractions [which were between 3 and 6 minutes apart.] We headed to the hospital. Jimmy met us there at about 9a.
