You know the one...
The One.
She's The One who'd do anything for you; you can always count on her...
She's the one who...
...if you showed up at her house, at 3 AM, with a mascara stained face and two shovels, she'd take a shovel, do the driving, help you dig, and THEN ask questions.
And no sooner...
And she's the one who...
Will call the number to find out who the mysterious text is coming from on her husbands phone...then reverse search that number, obtain the address of soul, and ask the chic in person if she knew your friends husband was married.
She's the one who..
has clothes in every size, because she's been EVERY SIZE so she always has something cute to loan you, even if you gain a pound or two.
She's the one who...
Knows your secrets; and would never tell a soul.
And bigger than that, she does not judge you; but loves you more.
She's the one who..
you can call at 2 AM for any reason, and she'll listen, cognitively, and NOT call you a drama queen.
She's the one who..
takes; and then doubles your investment every time.
She the one who..
knows what needs to be said, and says it.
She's the one who..
Says what she means; and MEANS WHAT SHE SAYS.
She's the one who..
will tell them off on your behalf, because "no one talks about her that way".
She's always got your back..
You're always in her prayers..
She doesn't envy, but feels genuine JOY for you when your life experience brings wonder, positivity and good nature.
She's the one.

there are so many i can't even list .... the times in my life the SHE stepped in in JUST the right way.
Jill scrubbing my crappy apt. tub when we were moving to our first house and reminding me as i cried that Bill would SO KILL ME if he found out that, GOD, i'm PREGNANT with #2 NOW!!! that it took 2 to make baby #2.
Mireya who had a marriage like mine once, and saw my crap written on my face, and took me out for coffee one night to let me know i was safe with her, told me i was ok, and then began to help me make better choices. i had no idea when she stepped into my life 3 years ago .... but God did, i swear. he KNEW i would need her 2 weeks ago on a Saturday night. he just KNEW.
Elle - just KNOWING that you were trying so hard to call my freaking hospital room ... made me LMAO and cry.
Beth-Ami (beth-ami): homemade soup from a rock sister-chick who loves me even tho i'm 155,000 lbs. bigger than she is .... (clearly, issues)
Mel (utzy): my crazy God-sister friend in Ohio who DOES let me swear & swears back and we can say absolutely anything in any which way, eloquent & not-so-eloquent, and it's OK. she hears the message behind the wordy words every single time.
Christine (greenANDchic) who will give me the shirt off her back ... and does.
Kris, my girlfriend since college, who LITERALLY KNOWS EVERY TWISTED, DARK AND LIGHT DETAIL ABOUT ME AS I DO HER - I KNOW she's got my back.

I used to know here, in high school but now I don't know any such person, sad I know but I don't have friends like that.
My sister's are pretty similar but they wouldn't just grab the shovel and ask later, they're more the 'call the police, they'll help you' types! lol
I know Her and I'm thankful for her everday of my life.....we have been friends for 23 years...but I believe we are soulmates and will be friends for lifetimes to come!!

I know this woman and she is my rock. I don't know what I would do without her. She is so much to me and I try to tell her everyday. No, she's not my mom or my sister or my daughter - she's my one true friend who is all of those rolled in one.

oh i know a couple of these people... Elle you're one of them... also my college roomie, Mel... she and i don't live anywhere near the same kind of life (or at least we didn't when we met...) and we still stuck together... 7 years now... and man i can't imagine where i'd be or how crazy i would've become without her!!

Awseme Elle, this post made me cry because the person I felt this way about and I had huge disagreement a few months ago and things have not been the same since. I think I will forward this to her with a note...thanks!
