I have advanced arthritis in my shoulders with a LOT of pain in both of them, especially when I try to lie down and sleep! I'm scheduled to have a total shoulder replacement on Nov. 5 - I'm eager to get it over with, but am also nervous about the pain and how restricted my activity will be. I've never had any kind of broken bone as a kid, so have never had my arm in a sling and feel that 67 is a little late to be starting this experience -

I'm hoping to have my right shoulder done soon - the first one went well - no oain from the surgery, but the therapy was murder! I'm right--handed snd use that arm in everything I do, so this experience may be a little more traumatic -
