14 week check up today!!

Today was my 14 week  check up. Everything went well. The babys heart rate was 150. I took my Ana with me so she could hear the heart beat. She looked so amazed just sitting there listening. She was so funny in that exam room. She wanted to know what they used the big  light for. I was like OMG what do I tell her???? The dr's had a pre-term labor meeting  about all their patients who are high risk to go early. I am one of them. They want to give me weekly shots starting in the 16th week. They say the shot may prevent pre-term labor.  At first I thought maybe its a good idea since I already had 2 babies at 35 weeks. Then she went on to tell me how the shots are not FDA approved. UMMMMMMM I don't think so. What do u guys think???? I don't feel like they are safe. Both my kids were born early but they both were fully developed and a very good weight ( 5"12 & 6"2) .   I need to make a decision soon about the shots but I need some help.  Oh and before I go I gained 8 freaking pounds in a month!!!!!!!!!!!!

hmm I went into labor early but obviously I had no history. I delivered at about 37 weeks which is not too bad either... and Makiah was 5 15oz. That's a hard call to make with the shots. You know, I would ask what the risks are with the shots, because the FDA aren't always reliable. They have approved stuff that they should not have... so I don't usually use them as a trusting source. I am sure they have info of any potential risks with it... and I would say after they give you that info, just go with your gut.

I told you what i thought about the shots...........alot of things that are NOT fda approved are perfectly safe !!!  I know you must be worried....I am one of those ppl who have faith in doctors........but having a baby early is so much better these days...they can do so much !!! I'm sure you'll be fine and make the right decision....

As far as Ana in the room...that is sooo cute........i bet she is sooo excited .....

8 pounds........that's ok...you'll taper off towards the end........................u still look gorgeous !!
