See? See how utterly STUPID it sounds??!! I'm sorry, but after your child is a year old, there are no more months. " I am a mommy to a 47 month old." Okay....are you a dumb ass? I understand, having kids of my own, how hard it is to let go, to admit they aren't babies anymore. But, unless you want to claim your kid is 312 months old, or something equally moronic, LET IT GO PEOPLE!!!! Seriously, when is it going to stop? When the kid reaches high school? Please, realize how ridiculous you sound and STOP IT!!!!

The thing is, there is a huge difference between a 12 month old and an 18 month old and a 23 month old, so I did go by months until my kids were 2, then I went by halves or "he's just turned 2 last month". Beyond 2 though is bugs me too.

OMG My aunt and I just had this same talk last week and it drives me bananas when people tell me that their kid is like 17 months old. MY daughter is 9 months old and I can't wait till she turns 1 so i can say she's 1.
