Savannah Reign's Birth

Okay Sorry it has taken me so long, but ugh been busy

Here is the long version.
Savannah Reign was born on 09/18/08

Thursday was a very early morning for all of us we all woke up at 4:00 am including Athena. We got ready got Athena ready took her over to our friends house who was watching her, talked to her said goodbye which was hard for me, knowing that I would not be with her in the evenings for the next few days. We get to the hospital, They get us in our room, Get my iv and the fluids started, I met a bunch of the nurses who where going to be in the OR with us, and they where just explaining how things where going to go, Yes I was scared again not sure why, but I was cuz honestly this was different then an emergency one ya know. met the Anesthesiologist He told me what was going to happen etc. They got Jay ready in his scrubs, Then Doctor Benekos came in to see how we where doing and if we where ready, Oh yea Dr. Weeman (one of the other docs in the office) stopped in to say hi and to let me know he would be helping with the surgery as well, oh yea one of the nurses had her replacement there with her learning and then I was asked like 20 minutes before if I would mind if a college nursing student came in to watch. I said that was fine, might as well and I thought it was kind of cool. so we get down to the or, they had me get on the table, and it was weird this time I could hardly hear the people who where supposed to be talking to me because I could hear everyone else, I was talking to the Student nurse who was a real sweetie the whole time they where prepping me, they get me up to do the spinal gave me the local anesthetic, and then he was attempting to put the spinal in it was hurting I told my nurse, So They numbed me more, it seemed like it was taking for ever, the nursing student gave me another hand to hold on to for the spinal, I guess jay was getting upset cuz he was wondering what the heck was taking so long.  we finally got it in and was the weirdest feeling, I felt my thighs get warm and then I could not feel a thing,They brought Jay in he about lost it he didn't realize that they already had me pretty much cut and he saw ROFL... so he gets up to me and I started feeling weird kind of sick but not, I kept hearing the doctors talk but it was like I was in a dream kind of weird, I just told Jay to keep talking to me, I heard them say can you get that arm out, and the other doc was like no, I honestly really didn't feel any pressure or anything like I did with Athena.I Know the doctors where having problems I kept hearing them ask if they could get the arm out, finally they pulled her out, at first she was very quiet unlike Athena, when they pulled her out and showed us (I didn't mention this to Jay) but I thought she looked awful gray and she was not crying at first, but she looked huge, she looked bigger then Athena,, so daddy went down with them while they cleaned her up and such, and they finally got her to respond and of course she would not stop crying then, I got back to our room and by 8:30ish I was getting worried because I could still not feel my legs nor could I move them at all even trying they told me by like 9:30 I should be moving them so I was finally able to move them, Savannah was still not in the room with us, they wanted to monitor her because of my GD, I guess her first two sugar levels where really low like 15, but after a few feedings they got her up to where she needed to be,  She was born at 7:48 am  10 lbs even, Head; 14.4 and 21 inches even. She was breech, She came out kicking the doctors, Hence the arm problems. ROFL She was having a hard time figuring out how to use the bottle well sucking even though she would suck on her hand and pacifier, we got her doing well. Jay and Athena went home for the night. Nurse came in around 9pm to get me up and walking a bit, I was surprised at the little pain I was in, I was prepared for the pain I was in with Athena, I was able to get up out of bed and walk to the bathroom by myself, when I got up Nurse decided she wanted me to go to bathroom to clean me up and check my bleeding which looked pretty bad (they took the cath out of me Thursday afternoon). I also had a bunch of student nurses in the room with me on Thursday which was kind of cool :).  but anyways I had a bunch of clotting and lot of bleeding they where worried about. So I got no sleep that night as nurses where coming in every 2 hours checking my stomach and the bleeding they gave me metho something and potasin to help with the bleeding,finally by Friday afternoon it was better, I was moving around pretty much by myself, by Friday afternoon I was off everything, all ivs etc, was going to bathroom by myself etc, even went down to 1 percocet instead of two, I got a shower by myself pretty much Friday night, Saturday we had to but Savannah under the billy lights for the day and because she was still having a hard time eating they where not going to release her, I was released Saturday if I wanted to leave, but I stayed being Savannah was there, They switched her to the soy milk and that seemed to help with her keeping the formula down,  All of the nursed couldn't believe how well I was doing, They where calling me like super woman even my doctors where surprised. So Sunday morning she was released. and woohoo we got to go home, went running around with Jays mom, and came home had a pretty good first night.  I got sick with the flu last night,
Savannah when discharged from the hospital weighed 9.6 lbs, We had checkup today for Savannah, they said she was 20 and 1/2 inches long but she was curled up, and she weighed 9.5 lbs but she has been drinking 2 - 21/2 ounces, Billy Ruben level looked great today, I have to take her back next week for a weight check, Athena had a bad couple days, Sunday night she went to follow daddy outside at a friends house, I couldn't get there in time and she fell out the door, just like on little step but it stilled scared me and it scared her, she has a little bruise and scratch on her head, then Monday she got nipped by a dog, so last night Daddy bought her a little kitchen ROFL, He started to put together but now is sleeping I think ROFL.
