Will You Be Cutting Down on Christmas Shopping This Year?

I was at Costco. I was at a major tourist shopping area. I did a book signing......there were very few lines, very few people with shopping bags and filled carts. Are you cutting back this year because of all the economic problems?

I am not buying anything, not even for the kids. We have been rendured homeless due to job loss because of the economy, so I'll be concentrating on using my money to find housing. We will be celebrating Christmas a better way this year, without distractions, without expensive toys made in China that might pose a danger to my kids' healthy, without a fancy tree. Christmas will be time to sit with hot chocolate next to our family members, sharing conversation, instead of gifts. I'm kinda glad we don't have anything. Now we can witness a true Christmas.
