Delivery day!

Well I thought I would share my delivery story with everyone. 

9:15 Friday morning I went to the doc because Tuesday I was 80% 2cm  So he asks how I am doing and I had to tell him that I thought it was the time.  So he checks and I am 100% 3cm so he send me downstairs for labor.

So I head downstairs and I got to my car to get my bottle of water and call my hubby.  So I get in triage and change clothes and Justin comes right before I get the IV. The next thing we know Allison's heart rate didn't bounce back from a contraction like it should.  So they come and turn me on my side and call Dr Baiey and he tells them to prep me cause we were doing c-section in 15min. 

Needless to say this just comes as a huge shock!   We were not expecting that to happen at all!  But that how it worked.  At 11:56 Addison arrived weighing 3.14lbs being 16 3/4 inches long and at 11:57 Allison arrives weighing 2.14lbs and is 15inches long.They had apgar scores of 8 and 9 so that was great!  They were taken up to the NICU where Justin then started letting familly in the room to see theml.

8 hours later I got out of bed and went up there to see them.  They are both completly healthy.  They just want to put a little weight on and feed from a bottle.  But they are already sucking on their pacifiers.  Justin and I are very excited about the.  They are guessing the girls will be in the NICU for a week and then they will be feeding well enough to go home!  YEAH  I am not sure if I would say that the c-section would be worth it.  I am fairly sore and that isn't something I would recommend requesting to have.  But I guess in all reality is will be nice to be closer to healed when the girls get home. 

This has been a really surprising last couple of days but the girls make it worth it.  It will be even better when the whole family is at home!

omg congratulations! that is so amazing that it was only a few hrs from when you got there to when you had your baby girls! congrats again and we cant wait to see pics!
