What an amazing privilege it is to be a part of the human race....yes, sometimes the fight to stay alive is long and hard...but we are LIVING! And every living thing was created...right? I don't care what name you call your God, your higher power, your consciousness....it doesn't matter to me whether you believe in the big bang theory or in a being that lives in the heavens...the fact is....WE WERE ALL CREATED BY THE SAME THING. Whatever your personal beliefs, there is no denying that humans share the same creator. So why is it that we treat each each other so terribly?? All brothers and sisters fight, but a lot of families have learned to accept the fact that they are different and take the 'agree to disagree' approach. Why can't we do this in regards to politics???? I haven't had a television since the beginning of August, and very limited inter-net access as well. Most of my 'what's happening' in the world comes from Cafemom......ladies...you're letting me down. I see an abundance of hate, discrimination, anger....where is the LOVE???? Seriously people, let's set a better example!!! Hate and prejudice are not learned, they are taught. Words are a powerful thing, with a life all their own. Be careful what life you give to your words. Let's understand that we are all entitled to our own beliefs and opinions, and just because you don't agree with them, doesn't mean that they are wrong. At the end of the day, or the election....we are still going to have what we had from the beginning....each other. Let's agree to disagree and learn how to love what we may not understand. Don't forget to vote tomorrow......and whatever the outcome, hold to your integrity and character, watch your words.....because our children are watching you.
Comments:
Exactly..... Your children are watching you. That is my biggest thing. I want to be my child mentor and role model. I think sometimes people forget that.
You so right! There is just so much intolerance in the world and an unwillingness to respect other people's opinions and beliefs. It is everybody's democratic right to voice their opinions and whether one agrees with them or not, one should be mature enough to debate about it in a civilized manner, without it turning into something nasty and hateful. Only when we learn to love one another will there be true peace in the world.
I too agree with you!! I can't wait til tomorrow is over with so the mean spirited back stabbing, name calling will stop!!! It is a shame that adults act the way they do!! I certainly wouldn't want my children acting the way so adults do!! Love to all of you!! No matter what you believe, and i agree that just because you may not think the way I do...doesn't make you right and doesn't make me right...it's called an OPINION!!! That's what makes our country so great....you get to have one of those!
You are da bomb, girl. I love that even when you've had the wind knocked out of you, you remain grace-filled, classy, and aware of your love and light. Thanks for sharing yourself so well!
