So I had a bad reaction to my last and final injection to Humira on 9-9-08. It felt like I was struck in the ear and then my head felt this incredible pressure..the right side of my face went numb, and my throat. My right eye felt very strange.
So, I saw my doc in October, told her about this, and she wants me to have an MRI of my brain. Hasnt happened yet. But I decided to see this eye specialist today. Turns out I have a "cotton wool spot" -- an area of infarction at the right optic nerve. Her first question is, "Do you have Lupus" -- UH NO, but I've tested positive for this test called "ANA" -- I've been referred to another doc, a retina specialist. Then I'm going for an MRI this week to make sure I didnt have a stroke.
I'm scared. So scared I can barely function. I'm still licking my wounds. Could I have Lupus? Did I have a stroke? Am I going blind? I dont know. HATE that I dont know.
THanks for listening.
Cathy

Chin up, you are a tough cookie and can face this like everything else. Remember that we are here! You keep disappearing, we are behind you here.
Oh yes, and don't borrow trouble. Good news can wait and bad news will refuse to go away!
I just wanted you to know that you are in my prayers and that if you need to talk i am here to listen. Carolyn
