Barack Obama and White Folks-It ain't what you think!

It took a man born of a white mother and a Father from the Motherland who was raised in Hawaii by his white grandmother. A man raised in poverty. Aman raised by a single parent. A young man who saw his mother die without health insurance. A man not a descendant of American slaves, but a direct descendant from the Motherland of the slaves and a direct descendant of white European immigrants who came to America. A man who came out of nowhere with the name of Barack which means "blessed" in Swahili. Yes, like Esther in the Bible, he was annointed and appointed for this time.
But it wasn't Barack alone. You see he was the catalyst that brought this country together tonight. A country that said enough is enough is enough! Its written clearly. How beautiful it was to see whites, Asians, Latinos and people all across the country band together to say "Yes We can" make a change. We are tired of what is going on! When I went to volunteerto make phone calls, I was so encouraged over the diversity of his supporters. I was humbled by the passion of this rainbow coalition of people.
Blacks alone could not have done this. This was 2/3 of our country coming together. There is a mandate now. Our leaders see it. they know it. We want unity in our country.
So I take the time out to say thank you to all my white brothers and sisters. To all my Latino brothers and sisters. To all my Asian brothers and sisters. Thank you for standing up and making your voices heard and known. We will have some difficult times and we will need to build upon this moment at those difficult times.
Yes I believe that Barack with the name of "blessed" was sent here for this time. I believe he is ordained of God for such a time as this. Like Martin Luther King Jr was ordained for his time. And all my white, Latino, and Asian brothers and sisters....thank you.
