Well im 21wks. prego & still nursing my 21 almost 22 mths. old dd.  I want to go for at least 2yrs. old. Well lately she barely askes to be nursed or when I ask her or even whip out my booby for her to nurse she will either refuse it or latch on for about 2min. b4 something gets her distracted & she wants to get off & be on her way.

I read somewhere that babies will sometimes wean off b/c the moms milk will start to change. So I don't know if that's what's happening or if she going on a  nursing srtrike. If she's really tired I can get her to nurse for a good 5-10min.

Im really sad that this chapter in our life may be over. I really love our time together. Of her just laying on my lap & relaxing while looking at my eyes & stroking my face & kissing her lil hand.

Can somebody please help me?! I really want to keep going til at least her 2nd. b-day.

I would definitely keep offering. It is possible that she is weaning but probably the least likely of the scenarios. Is she cutting teeth, possibly her 2 year molars? She also could be just cutting  back in frequency since she is a busy toddler. Good luck!

Probably your milk is changing so it's not what she's used to, she may wean, or slow down, then when the baby is born and you have all this luscious breastmilk, she may want it again. I would just follow her lead, keep offering, if she refuses, she refuses. You may also contact a LLL leader or lactation consultant

Do you think maybe your starting to dry up a little? I know that isn't uncommon in the first bit of pregnancy. I mean you have to eat a lot of calories to keep your milk and to also keep your baby healthy. I also think it is the age they are so active that they just want to do their own thing which could lean to self weaning. The only advice I could give is keep trying.
