Gay Marriage

this   is a frustrateing topic for me (i know my spelling sucks!) because I am for gay rights, I think love is love, i think everyone has the same rights... and this is discrimination. My spouse and his family (who are VERY religious) are totally against it. It makes me nausious to hear them talk about it like gay people are less then they are (my sps family does this not him). People need to stop worring about what other people are doing in their bedrooms and focus on what they are doing in theirs.

I am going to have a very tough time with the DH  family... and getting them to understand this kind of view is not one they can put on my children. I wore a no on 9 button in 2nd grade (which was the same kind of thing in oregon) and have felt the same way since.

If you voted yes, that makes me sick. As women how can we tell gays they dont have the same rights we do. We faught for YEARS for equality! YEARS. So did blacks and minorities. Yet we are voting the same way against another kind of person. Gees people.  What a step back for all that we have faught for!

oh and i am sick of religion being peoples reason for doing everything. How about Humanity? How about not judging people because its not YOUR DAMN JOB!! How about taking care of th kids who are being raped by priests, and churches, and 12 year old girls being married off to 50 year old men who have 8 wives already and 35 children? How about Dealing with the skelatons in your closet and your families closet before giving a crap about other people!

If your so against it dont do it... and i wonder how many of the men who voted yes want to experience a 3 some with their wives... him and 2 women! Grrr. this pisses me off!!

i like to hear this! my mom is a lesbian, her and her partner have been together for like 12 years. she is my 2nd mom. her kids are my sisters. Just because the state wont allow them to be married they are still together. they have never once ever made us be like them like a lot of religious people think happens. my mom has been gay since before i was born (long story about how i came along) but i am 24 years old and I am married (to a man) and have a beautiful child. I like what you said about how women fought for so long to get their rights and then they don't understand what the gay community is going through. Just because they are different they get the shaft from everyone. they love someone just as much as a man and a woman can love each other. With modern times they can have a family too. thank you for speaking your mind

like the post i too believe people have the right to decide what they do as long as no one is getting hurt. and if people use religion then let God be the judge not us its not our job! And yeah why are woman any better to have the rights lets just go back to what it used to be ha people seem to forget about moving forward.
