Just waiting for inspiration.....

Love Actually is definitely my favorite romantic comedy of all time.  I don't like sad movies, and I'm not a fan of every "chic flick" that comes out.  I've never seen "Titanic", or "The Notebook" (both sad movies), and I can't stand "Where the Heart Is" .

I think that I have watched Love Actually 15 or 20 times (that's a lot for me), and most of those times my dh has watched it with me (he likes the movie too).  I love the movie because of the way that it portrays all different kinds of love.  Brother and Sister, Parent Child, Caretaker, Forbidden, Unreiquited, Unspoken, Puppy, Long Term, Short Term, Shy, Friendly, New, Old, Lust, and Married Love. The premise of the movie is that love actually is all around. The film follows at least eight relationships that develop and evolve in very different ways. Time I watched it I admit I was a little confused (the actors are all English and the accents make it a little difficult to follow the whole time), watching eight love stories at once is a little complicated.  But it got even better the second, third and twentieth time I watched it.  All of the characters had ties to other characters, and I discover new things every time I watch the movie.

this film has a whole cast of great actors and actresses including: Bill Nighy (also in Pirates of The Carribean), Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson (also in Harry potter), Keira Knightley (Started filming Pirates of teh Carribean right after this movie), Hugh Grant, Alan Rickman (also in Harry Potter), and short parts played by Billy Bob Thornton,  Claudia Schiffer, Denise Richards, Rowan Atkinson (aka Mr. Bean- he plays an angel in Love Actually- if you watch the deleted scenes you discover this).

The movie is rated R.

WARNING SPOILER ALERT!!!

The movie follows different relationship plot lines all right before and leading up to Christmas.  My favorite scenes include Daniel's wife's funeral, the entire love story of Sam and Joanna, the lake scene with Aurelia and Jamie,   Jamies proposal, Juliet and Peter's Wedding, and Mark's card scenes.  Probably a lot of other ones but I can't remember.

I love how the couple that meets eachother as standins for naked actors don't have sex until their honeymoon, how Colin Frissel meets hot American girls just like he thought he would, and how Sam describes it as the total agony of being in love.

My heart fills with emotion when I hear the different Beatles songs or pretty much any of the music in the film.

Here are some of my favorite scenes (I've never posted video before so I hope it works):

Jamie's Proposal

Mark and Juliet's Card scene

Well thank you for giving me the movie for Christmas.  I did cry though, lol  And I think because it was the edited version I didn't really catch a lot of the porn couples story.  I love the story with the Portuguese girl and cried like crazy when the little boy was running through the terminal. I guess I am a sap.  :o)

The two scenes that you have posted were great.  I love the scene with the portuguese girl where the papers flew into the pond.  I loved how they would say the same things but not know it.  So meant to be.

One thing that it left hanging, what happened between Emma and Snape??  I couldn't tell from the final scene if he ever did get with his secretary or if Emma really forgave him.  Couldn't figure out the look.

By the way I hated The Notebook, don't really see what the big deal was and I definitely don't recommend P.S. I Love You.

Thanks for getting me an edited version for Christmas.  It really meant a lot!!!
