in a nut shell

"If you had to give up one of your favortie foods, what would it be?"  It is easier for me to answer this way:  "If you had to give up your favorite foods which one would you fight to the death for?  Nuts!  I could almost be happy if that's the only thing I had to eat.  I've never tried a nut I didn't like.  I love them all, but almonds and walnuts are my favorites.  I love peanuts and peanut butter, but they are technically legumes, I believe.  I like nuts in salads, nuts in desserts, nuts in snack/trail mix, nuts in cereal, nuts in casseroles and in rice dishes.  I eat some type of nut or nuts every day.  Cannot go one day without them.  They are healthy, filling, full of protein and omega 3's and fiber.  I usually include them in my breakfast.   Then, as a snack if I'm just too hungry between meals, or as an ingredient in something I'm having for lunch or dinner.  I love chicken fried rice with some cashews thrown in!  Mmmm!
