So tired of hearing why do I have to spend money to make money!!! BLA! BLA! BLA!
Well then go get a real JOB so your boss can tell you when, where and what time to be at your JOB not a BUSINESS!

I do this business and I treat it like a business and not a job. BIG DIFFERENCE.   I don't want a job. A job is when your boss tells you that you can't get off for your son/daughter's play, fieldtrip, parent day at school.  A JOB is where you try to find who will watch the kids in the summer when school is out.  Who will take off work when they are sick.  I HAVE been there and done that, I don't want to revisit that part of my life.

What I mainly do are fundraisers.  I send letters to schools and see if they want to sell candles vs candy, wrapping paper (DO I NEED TO SAY ANYMORE) and all those items.  We decide together on a couple of scents and it goes from there.  I normally try to make $3-$5 on a candle.  NOW THINK WITH ME.  24 kids to one class, elementary school (lets just say this) with K - 5th grade and I will be UNSTATING this for your sake and say that only 10 kids sell 2 candles.  Can you see where I am going with this?  NICE PAY for just checking to see what candles they want to fundraise.

Since the housing market is down I have boosted my sales with Real Estate  agents leaving customers, clients and  prospects my candles.  If they are selling a house they use them to make the house smell like apple pie (not a toxic candle for those who are sensitive) etc.  They buy them and give out as a Thank you after the sale.  I target Insurance agents, sports clubs, etc.  I want to be in control of my work schedule.  Its no fun to not be able to get off work for school, games, etc.
