So my "sperm donor" canceled at the last minute for the second weekend in a row when he was supposed to meet me to see the baby for the first time in 3 months. Last weekend he gave no reason at all. This time he says he just wants to take the baby by himself and not meet somewhere with me there. I think it would be irresponsible of me to send a teething 4 month old away for hours with someone he doesn't know and isn't comfortable with. Many people have told me that at his age it's best to meet in public for visitation. I'm currently waiting for a court date for child support and so far he hasn't helped out at all. He says he's not comfortable seeing the baby with me there. I say if he really wanted to see the baby that would be more important than him being uncomfortable. Maybe he wouldn't feel so uncomfortable around me if he wasn't such a dead beat. When he actually did see the baby the last time he was cursing and yelling at his SO in front of him. He screams at his older son all the time in stead of talking to him or putting him in time out when he does something wrong and completely ignores him the rest of the time. I don't think that's being the best role model in the world. Am I being over protective or would you be angry too?

Not comfortable ? No; I would NOT allow him to take off with my child by himself anywhere; especially when child support and child visitations have not been yet set by the court;

You have offered; planned; and he failed to show up...this does not look good for him.

Uncomfortable........well how do you feel around him ? Are you comfortable with him ?

He sounds a bit inconsiderate in my opinion.

Good Luck hon.

i don't know the whole story, but i wouldn't let him be alone or without me around with my4 month old.  he needs to get used to having you there while seeing his son.  i feel like it's all an excuse so that he doesn't have to be there, just my opinion.
