Spanking a small child with your HAND is okay. As long as it is not hard enough to leave marks (bruises, hand print). And not in a fit of anger.

Abuse is using a fucking fly swatter on your three year old instead of just putting the child back in to the bed after finding out why the said child is up.

Learn the fucking difference! And being that you and I are in the same state, yes, CPS will be contacted. Yes, CPS will investigate your ass. And yes, CPS does indeed give a damn!

not much difference between verbal abuse and physical abuse....I have seen parents cuss their children out and I think there is no difference.....

Okay, let me rectify this... I do not condone ANY KIND of abuse. This post is a "lesson" to another poster and her admitance to hitting her kid with a fly swatter to the point of the child crying. All because the child got out of bed.

I just read that "fly swatter" post......she is outta her freakin mind! she needs to let someone with some brains take her children so they have a chance at a life and she needs to get some serious serious help!!! her profile pic looks like she is higher than a kite or drunk or both!!! I hope her kids are safe and ok.

michelle8869, that one is in my state. And CPS would LOVE to chew her up. They don't take ANY FORM of abuse in Virginia lightly.

If your kid has a bruise that looks "suspicious", you can bet that your ass is called in to the DCF department. Fast!
