Give Like A Rock Star!

I don’t send out mass emails or forward things too often, so please take a few minutes of your day to read this for me.

On Friday, I attended a networking business luncheon and we had a very special guest—7 year old Maddy (her mom is a member of my Houston eWomen’s Network Chapter).  She was there to make a special request and I wanted to share it with you. 

Her 8th birthday is this coming Saturday November 15th and instead of getting gifts, she wants to GIVE gifts.  In fact, she and her “BFF” (that’s girl speak for Best Friends Forever!) are BOTH turning 8 and want to become “Wish Makers” for the “Make a Wish” foundation.  In lue of gifts, they are requesting that donations be made to the “Make a Wish” foundation (a 501 (c) 3 non-profit—which makes this “donation” TAX DEDUCTABLE!)

Did I mention these girls are turning 8????

I can tell you that after she spoke on Friday I could hardly contain my tears or write a check fast enough!

 In order to be a “Wish Maker”, you must donate $5000 and that is EXACTLY what these little women have set out to do!  Their mission is to raise $5000 and donate it ALL in order to grant a wish to another child!  WOW!!! 

I’m asking you to help in any way that you can—even if that simply means forwarding my email to a friend.  J  We’ve all got a little to give…Together, a little can add up to a lot!!!
