moving, croup, ear infection.. now this

Wow.. like how many things can go wrong in a 7 day period. We move into a crappy place with the inlaws and they can never seem to stop saying crap about the way we do things with our family. Which wouldn't be so bad if they were educated opinions. Nope. Don't ya know.. you dont get sick from coughing or touchings oemeon who is sick. Thats just crazy talk! Nope, your son has croup because you let him cry too much.

Then we found out he has an ear infection. Neato. So not only can my son barely breathe, he also has his firts ear infection. Not to mention I havent slept more than 4 hours a night since we moved in here. My eyes are so blood shot, i look liek I'm high 24/ 7.

We tried pushing back teh steriods as long as possible to make sure he needed them. Pedi told us today that he needed them or he would have to have breathing treatments and steriods. Neat. So I give him teh steriods. let em tell ya.. Steriods + sensitive tummy = Mommy smelling leik stomach acid and warm yogurt while juggling a screaming 11 mo and trying to strip off his clothes, my clothes, and clean up the floor, chair, highchair, and table.

Please.. I need some sleep.. and a shower that I haven't had time for in way too long.. someone buy me a hotel room so I can get a BREAK!

If I had the money I would!!! Sounds like you need a hotel room and a spa day! Hope the steriods help little guy so get better. Good luck!!!

BTW, if you want to, PM me about some help you are lookin for and I will forward it on to my friend who works for the JFS near Atlanta. I have a hard time believing you cant get ANYTHING. Also there is a site I can input ur income into to see if you qualify for anything, I know the $700 a month isn't accurate for medicaid because that income limit is MUCH higher than all the other ones.  They do the same calculations a caseworker would do. For a family of two (meaning single parent and child) it's about 2,100 before taxes to just get benefits for the babies for medical, not $700. I work for the county here, and those limits are federal limits, not state limits. . They also have a public site if you want to try it, it just isn't as accurate. So let me know if you want the link.

If it is chilly near you bundle him up and take him outside as much as possible. It helps with the croup. My son used to get it every year this time of year. We also used homeopathic instead of steroids. But sounds like you've had a rough week. Hoping things get better 4 you!!!
