Colpo & Cervical Biopsy

So I had my pap the other day... he saw some abnormal cells and said they would call me for a colpo and possible biopsy... I've had a colpo done and know that they are no big deal. But I was pregnant so they didn't do a biopsy. Has anyone had a cervical biopsy done, and did it hurt? Would it help to take pain killers before hand? Thanks.

I have had several colposcopys and biopsys. It didn't really hurt me. Felt like a pinch and then it was done.
Hey babes.. i just had a biopsy done a week ago and seriously i was just as scared as u were. it felt like alittle pinch and it didnt hurt afterwards.. about a hour later i started gettin some mild cramps but other than that it wasnt nothing to really be worried about.. i hope that helps u out.. good luck..

My sister had one once. It was painful for her. You might ask the doctor about taking pain killers before hand, due to bleeding. My sister also had to take a few days to recoup, so I hope you are planning on that as well. Good luck and let us know!
