♥ Hey Girlies!…I hope you all had a fun Halloween! This year has been a tiring one for me. I just couldn‘t get motivated to make costumes. I was watching Good Morning Texas (our ABC Morning show after GMA) and they asked for people to send in photos of handmade costumes for their contest. I sent in all the costumes I have made, Grease, Punk, Flintstones & the Jetsons. The next week we were picked as one of their 4 Finalists in their “Not So Haunted Halloween Contest“! They asked if we would come on their show on their “Not So Perfect Parent“ Segment! I had no clue that they were all the way in downtown Dallas! I found out that Designer Isaac Mizrahi was going to be on the show to! Maybe I could get a Makeover??
Danny worked overtime for a few days so he could take off that morning. We didn’t tell the Kiddos until the night before just in case we couldn’t make it. Wednesday Oct 29 we got up before the Chickens! Oh how I hate getting up early! I am not a morning person at all! We had to wake up all the Kiddos, which never happens! We got all dressed in our costumes and left for the hour long drive to Dallas. Boy did we get some strange looks while stopped in morning rush hour traffic! We finally got there and rushed through the Victory Park buildings and stopped some traffic! The host came out to greet us!

Downtown Dallas
We even met Isaac Mizrahi. He was very very nice (But no makeover)! They asked if we would do a couple of the shows entry segments that are at the end before the commercials and after the commercials. I wanted just the Kiddos to go out, but they wanted me with them. It’s a Live show and I’m pretty shy. The Kiddos were awesome, but I think they were still asleep! Sophia did start “swimming” on the tile floor but the host Gary Cogill picked her up and he even got a Kiss from her!
When we came out to do our segment we found out that we were the Grand Prize Winners of the contest! They interviewed me and I swear I thought I was about to have a panic attack ! When she would turn the Microphone to me it seemed like it was going to hit my nose! The Sun was so bright out there, No one could keep their eyes open! I think I‘ll go down in history with my “Deer in Headlights“ moment where I said I made The Gazoo head on a Basket Ball Helmet! There is no such thing! But I have a feeling I might be receiving one on Christmas! Danny and I were on T.V. for the first time 10 years ago doing a Bead Demo! I also had a “Deer in Headlights“ moment then to and all I think I said was “Remember your Safety Glasses“!
We received some great prizes. Eight tickets to Six Flags over Texas, 8 tickets to The Movie Tavern, A Tote embroidered with our last name, Gourmet Gummies, Orange Hot Chocolate, Coffee Mugs, Kitchen Apron with Swarovski Crystals, some other fun things. The Grand Prize was a New Video Camera! But sadly it was stolen off of The Host Paige’s desk. She said we would be receiving something as a replacement in the mail (but I‘m having a bit of a problem getting her to fulfill her promise…We‘ll see).
The Runaway Alien!
I finally figured out how to add a video to YouTube. So I have put 3 on there to send some Giggles your way! Isn‘t it funny when you hear your own voice? I now know why sometimes the Kiddos (& Danny) don‘t listen to me. I must have the most annoying voice ever! Oh well…Some things you can change and some things you can’t right?
On Halloween we went to a Party with Disney Radio and the Kiddos had a great time! But we have been paying the price since! The “Halloween Bug” hit our family hard. But thankfully we are exterminating it! We plan on having Eden’s 5th Birthday Party on Saturday! She wants a Monkey Party! Not too sure on what to do for a cake…This should be interesting! Can you believe how fast this year has gone by? I am so not ready for the Holidays! Danny & I Celebrate our 22nd Wedding Anniversary on November 29th! Are we really that old? What happened? I wish you all a VERY Happy Thanksgiving and Holiday Season!

awwww! You are all so cute!!!! Finally you were able to figure how to upload videos in youtube. I love your voice. It is exactly the way I thought you would sound:) I like the way Danny said "Family is fun" awwww! You're wonderful family! Congratulations on winning the costume contest:)
Great job on all of those costumes!!!! Yall looked so great! I want to do a whole family theme with my family next year. There will be four of us then. But I think Im gonna have to shop for mine! I can sew but I dont have the patience like you!!!!! LOL!!!!
aww man love the costumes and the pics!! Must have been great but yeah I am not a morning person either LOL I'll come back and watch the videos when I get the kids settled, got daycare kids till 5:30 today.
