We have a full house this weekend. My daughter and b/f is spending the weekend. They broke the news to me that they are planning on getting married within 3 or 4 weeks. Also that when he graduates high school this year he is joining the army. She thought I would be upset but i was expecting it. So somewhere after Thanksgiving and before Christmas they are getting married at the courthouse and she is planning a bigger wedding later after they save up money. They want us to be there as well as some friends and both him and my son and his friends are wearing thier JROTC uniforms for it. So now I have to go dress shopping for myself and her and my other daughter. jackie is grumbling about a dress cuz she doesn't wear dresses. kellie is thrilled and already imagined what her dress will look like. So thats what going on here

So, they were married on Thursday. While I am happy for her, I don't understand her. When she first told us, she wanted me involved in planning and shopping, then about a week after his mother got invovled. This woman has hated my daughter from the beginning even saying in front of my DD that she wants to see her son with someone else. She has done everything possible to sabotage thier relationship. So then my DD stopped invovling me and took only her advice on everything. My DD was coming over my house to get ready on Thursday and without saying anything until Thursday morning that she wasn't coming. She completely left me out of everything and we weren't invited to the reception until after the wedding as last moment. Iam I wrong to be upset and feel as if my daughter left me out of one of the biggest events in her life?
