Blah, Blah, Blah...

My son just came home and informed me that on Sat. He and 3 friends went to a Motel 8to stay the night (Iknow not a fan of him doing this but he's 19). Any way they got a room next to the office and after going in they decided to ask for a different one. From what he tells me it was just them 4 and the girl behind the desk.

When they left the room my son was several feet in front of the others when he heard a door slam and then some guy wearing a hat and bandanna across his face cam running towards him. Nate then saw he had a gun. I guess the guy told him move it and ran past him.

Nate said lets get out of here and his friends jokingly said why did the hotel just get robbed and Nate said yes! They weren't sure if the guy was still in the hotel so they ran out front and jumped in my sons truck and took off down the street. They came back a little bit later when the cops were there and gave them all the details. I guess the girl working at the desk was just 19 and when she saw the gun she ran into a room and locked the door.

I am soooo thankful nothing happened to him. He was very lucky something more could have happened. I was held up when I was 29 and it's something I never want to experience again. I tried hard to teach my children well, to protect them and then something like this happens. Scares the crap out of you!!

I love you Nate!!

i was held-up when i was 25 in my house ( guy followed me home from a ATM machine)  it is very scary and i am really glad your son is ok.  it could have been bad, but you taught him i am sure to stick up for others and do good right.  that is what he did, i am sure you were really scared for him, but it all turned out in the end, and he is ok.  alot of people out there are doing stupid stuff and we can't control that, but what he did was right and he is ok.
