Today's current word that irks me is 'gay', referring to anything no liked or understood, every third sentence. It's hard enough to be unable to use a pretty word as it was originally intended, but to hear it 25 times a day is a bit much. The one that really makes me cringe is 'buttface' which was popular by young adults a few years back, it was used like the word nerd "Don't be such a buttface", and they all thought they were so clever. I have always found 'potty talk' aka: crude language to be offensive, once I started re-training my own mouth.

I am so with you on that one. My least favorite word, the one that makes me cringe, want to scream is f*g. I can't think of anything more offensive for children to call others.
As for livewell, I am in agreement with the "bodily functions" talk is way out of control. Children are more immature with this than they used to be. Sometimes I wonder why I taught them to talk.

It does seem that the phase where "bodily functions" are "the funniest thing on the planet" has extended far out of the 3 and 4 year old stage where it used to reside.
