When we're home, and it's cold out (it's been in the 30s here) we have it set at 72. At night when we sleep it goes down to 66-68 depending on how the house feels. I would freeze with 60 degrees!

It's 38 here and my heater is set at 65.  The highest I set it is 68.  The reason is because my 8 yr old has sinus issues and if it is any higher he will become congested.

While we are at work, it goes down to 60.  When we are home it goes up to 65. But, we also have a fireplace. When we are sleeping, back down to 60.  It finally got cold here-high of 37 today.  We have a programmable thermostat, so it makes it easy to keep adjusting the temp.

It's been in the 20's; I try to maintain heat at 71; people in the house will run it up to 73; hey; that's too hot; especially when you are on the top 2 floors !

My son has sinus issues as well.  He used to get lots of nose bleeds also.  His doctor recommended using a humidifier in the winter and that seemed to help alot.

My computer says it is 27 outside right now:(  Yesterday we did not get about 32.  I hate this.  We have a corn burner and we are able to keep our house at 77+ all day and night.  I will turn it off when it reaches 84 in the house.  The corn costs us about 5.02 a day to heat:) Not bad at all

We keep ours at 65 all winter long. Right now, it's about 27 degrees out. Nothing wrong with wearing slippers and a sweater if it keeps the gas bill down.
