Yesterday morning @ 6am I was awaken by Jessicas exciting scream. "Mommy, mommy my tooth fell out!" I was still half way asleep( I just went to bed like 4 h ago). And indeed her tooth was laying on her bed. Clean too. No blood or nothing. How she managed that I dont know. Anyway she picks it up and ask for a Ziploc bag. So I drag myself downstairs thinking of my 30 min extra sleep that I wont get. I wasnt able to find a Ziploc bag so I grabbed a sandwich bag. Of course its not the right kind.
I tell her I dont have any right now but I get some at the store while she is in school. I hand her a cup and tell her to put the tooth in there. Of course she drops it in from like way up there and it misses the cup, the tooth bounces on the matress of the bed and on the floor.!! I immediately put everything down (trying not to get mad (I still hoping for my extra min of sleep) and thank God here it lays on the brown carpet, between, crumbs from the dogbone. I pick it up and set it in the cup.
The next day (nov 20.) she came down stairs to show it to her uncle. Set her tooth somewhere now in a sandwichbag. All happy (Jessica, not the tooth) and left it in the kitchen. Well at 8:30pm it was time for bed and she wanted to have her tooth. I have no clue what she did with it. She tells me that its laying in the kitchen. So she goes downstairs and looks. Cant find it.!!! OH no! I start to think that maybe somebody tossed the bag in the trash and Lord and behold there it is between mc and Cheese and other unidentifying garbage. I put it in a new bag and off she goes happy as ever expecting the Toothfairy to come. ( I hope I find a dollar). Her brother in the meanwhile is having one of those 6 year old crying spells (you know they wont shut up and go on and on) I asked him what he wanted and he said he wants his old teeth back. Im like why? "So I can get money too." I told him thats not the way it goes. And he starts over again. After 30 min of crying he finally realizes that I wont give him his teeth nor will the Tooth fairy.
I can understand that he thinks its not fair. He is the older and is suppose to loose his teeth first and not his sister.
Anyway both are asleep!!
