Today mourn with my friend

Today I mourn with my friend. She had just received, last Saturday night, her first two foster children. Yesterday the judge sent them home. She, her husband and step daughter are devastated. My heart goes out to them and we feel the loss with them. Christa is one of the most amazing women I know and am honored to be her friend. I know that right now is a hard time for her and her family but I want her to know that being a foster parent is one of the hardest jobs to do but is also one of the most rewarding. It is a calling. Not everyone can do what we do and therefore makes what we do so important. Please pray for them that God brings them peace as well as the children that they had. Support you local foster parents because our wounds are not seen but are burned across our hearts. Take the time to thank them for their labor of love. Christa, know you are not alone I am standing there right beside you my friend, my sister.......

Dec. 10, 2008 at 2:25 PM You are so sweet! Thanks for being such a good friend to me as well as being my therapist lol, support group, and fellow foster momma! Sorry for the slow response, I'm just now getting back to the real world after weeks of being sick. I'll also be praying for you and Brad, that today goes well for you and your Angel and I'll be here to help you with your heartbreak if it doesn't go as we hope it will. Love ya!
