I have come to accept, without shame or embarrassment, that I AM the Rhoda. There, I've said it. My dearest friend Sharyn is SO the Mary. We get along great.
I am still slightly Bohemian and quite eclectic....I am often a fashion hot mess and nothing ever matches.....I WILL be the one with toilet paper on her shoe, skirt tucked into the back of her nylons, 4th shirt button popped open with breast exposure (which I am, of course, completely unaware of for hours, thinking all the guys looking at me means I am finally having a good hair day), slip hanging, one long black chin hair I didn't notice but everyone else did, poppy seeds in my teeth. I am the one who will trip and fall in the middle of a downtown crosswalk at lunch when the whole world is out to see me, there will be a coffee stain on every shirt, a hair do that falls apart as soon as I leave the house, I will have a laughing/snorting fit in inappropriate places that I cannot control....oh, the list goes on....
Sharyn is poised and confident, polished and put together. She has a keen eye for fashion, her make up and hair always looks great, she does NOT trip and fall in the middle of Main Street at lunch time, no blouse stains or poppy seeds in teeth, eyebrows nicely plucked, never has uncontrollable laughing/snorting fits in public places where decorum is important. She can gracefully glide across a room carrying a tray and NOT drop anything, oh, her list goes on.....
It is quite clear here who is the Rhoda and who is the Mary. I crack her up. She keeps me balanced. Rhoda & Mary had a great friendship. So do we.
So....are you the RHODA or are you the MARY? Discuss.......

Comments:
I am the Rhoda, lol! I have my own style, leggings, clogs, and a long sweatshirt and I am ready to go! My friend is definitely a Mary.Hair always neatly done, color coordinated down to her underwear.hey, possibly Mary has OCD?LMAO,I am happy being Rhoda!
I am totally the Rhoda! My day is not planned.... it happens. I am late to most everything I do, I "remember" 5 weeks after fall starts that I did not buy my daughter a new winter coat as the old one is a little tight on her, (wearable for now but I got her a new one yesterday). This fitting issue was discovered on our first really cold day as she was leaving for school. I just shake my head at myself sometimes, but I am a lovable Rhoda, I am the best friend a person could ever want. I love my family and friends dearly. My friend is a Mary all the way and I love her for it too!
I think I am the Rhoda although my friends may say I am the Mary but I only LOOK like I have it all together, even though I don't

Whether you are a mary or a rhoda...we need each other to balance us out! Mary needs Rhoda in her life and vice versa :O)
I am surprised anyone still knows about the MTM Show! hahaha I love that show.
As much as I would LOVE to have it all together and be the Mary, I am the Rhoda. I remembering wanting to be just like Mary growing up! I loved her clothes, her apartment, her finesse! Ha I'm so far from having any fashion sense and not polished at all.
what about if you are a combination of the 2? I usually look put together, but will trip over nothing. I am pretty organized, yet somehow always seem to forget where I put things that I put away "for safe keeping" LOL! I am a combo!!!
sigh.... well I need to watch this show but I'm pretty sure I'm deffinately a Rhoda.... who wants to BE a Mary LOL Is Rhoda a little nutty too? I talk too much and scare people away!!!
