Our Thanksgiving Traditions

I just wanted to take this time to wish those of you who are celebrating, "A Very Happy Thanksgiving" and  to share with you some of the things that we do here as a family, known as...

"Our Family Thanksgiving Traditions".

Aside from the traditional turkey filled meal, each year we collect a bunch of pretty leaves and write on them, the names of people & things we are most thankful for.

"Our Gratitude's"

Then we use the leaves as place cards, additions to the centerpiece, or just scattered about on a solid color table cloth placed under glass to decorate the Thanksgiving table.

In addition, the week before, we set up our tree & decorate it specifically for Thanksgiving.

We use white lights, fall leaves, flowers and place pictures of loved ones, both living & deceased, who can not be with us for the Thanksgiving Day meal & family celebration.

That sounds like an awesome tradition! We just eat like fat hogs!!! LOL! But thats a good idea. If I ever add on to my family then I might think about starting something like that!! Hope you have a wonderful holiday!
